I cannot fathom why I feel so compelled.
I feel so passionate.
My final breath will go unnoticed.
My final wish will go unanswered.
Is there really infinity?
Or a cold-nailed box?
Suddenly my head explodes.
I realise, I understand, I see.
Purity washes upon my thoughts.
Warm washes upon my cold heart.
I've found my place.
I've found my choice.
I've found my infinity within purpose.
And it's in my hands.

Dirt sprays from my mouth.
My yellow teeth bare the light.
My tongue snaps in two, unable to speak.
Bile clogs my thoughts.
I would raise my fist, but it would not be seen.
I would raise my voice, but like a scream in space.
I would not be heard.
They laugh upon us, from thrones carved of flesh and bone.
They have extinguished our dreams and befouled our homes.
They think they are gods.
As if drunk on deceit.
They vomit lies upon the filthy, the wretched, the people.
We must bind them of their power.
Their castles are built of matchsticks.
Set to fall upon them if they falter.
So hollow, our leaders.
So counterfeit, our power.
For no longer will we decompose beneath their boot.

I carved myself a shell from my own insecurities.
Concealing my purity from the watchful gaze of beggars and thieves.
A ghost in the midst of humanity.
I have grown weary of this.
I am so ardent to break free, from these clutches that bind me.
I'll struggle and fight to rejoice in the spoils of victory.
Sweat will salt my wounds and my blood will boil.
The white-hot sun will sear my skin as I relentlessly toil.
I will spit blood in the face of adversity.
I will not surrender, I will be free.
I have longed for this feeling for an eternity.
No-one shall ever take this away from me.
My masquerade defeated, I am free from strife.
I exhale relief, I breathe in new life.
